Please note: we do not process applications for inquiries outside the Albuquerque Metro area. Any applications received for residences outside of NM will be automatically deleted. Any applications outside of the Albuquerque Metro area will not be considered. This includes Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, and the immediate surrounding residential areas.
At Viva we want to find dogs their forever homes. All of our adoptions require a meet and greet visit, a home visit, and a trial adoption period of 10 days. We do these things because we want to find the best fit for our animals and our potential adopters. We aim to have no animals returned to us after they find their families by finding them the right fit first!
If you are ready to start the application process, please fill out the form below as accurately as possible. Please be aware that the dog you are initially interested in may not be your best match, or may already be pending adoption. If this happens, we will suggest others to you based on the information you provide here.
Filling out the adoption application does not guarantee an adoption in any way. This is the first step towards a potential adoption with Viva.
